Catherine BUHE

Catherine BUHE serves as Senior Lecturer and Head of Studies at Polytech Annecy-Chambéry, University of Savoie Mont Blanc, while actively contributing to the LOCIE research laboratory's SITE theme. Her dual role bridges academic leadership with specialized research in construction engineering.

Her research centers on performance indicators and monitoring systems for built environments, with particular focus on quantifying uncertainties and integrating real-world usage patterns into construction analysis. This work addresses critical gaps between theoretical building performance and actual operational conditions, enhancing sustainability and efficiency in civil engineering projects.

Within LOCIE's interdisciplinary framework, Dr. BUHE's work connects civil engineering with human factors analysis, advancing methodologies that account for dynamic building usage. Her research directly informs practical applications in construction technology and operations management.

Teaching responsibilities span core engineering subjects including reinforced concrete design, construction technology, and multi-technical project supervision. She oversees the APP program where students engage with building industry stakeholders across the entire construction lifecycle, from design through heritage management.
