Dr. Catherine Archer is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Arts and Humanities at Edith Cowan University in Perth, Western Australia. With over 15 years of industry experience in health services marketing management, public relations, communications, and consulting prior to her academic career, she brings practical insights to her teaching and research. She currently teaches courses including CMM6116 Methods of Enquiry and CMM5180 Public Relations Strategies, and serves as an international examiner for LSPR Indonesia.
Dr. Archer's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy from The University of Western Australia (2017). She is an active member of the Public Relations Institute of Australia, to which she was elevated as a Fellow in 2019 in recognition of her service to society, profession, industry, and academia.
Her research focuses on the multifaceted impacts of social media on individuals, organizations, and society, with particular emphasis on family dynamics, children's digital engagement, and influencer culture.
