Catherine Anderson serves as an Adjunct Instructor of Applied Harp at the University of New Orleans while maintaining teaching positions at Tulane University, Louisiana State University, and other New Orleans-area institutions including the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestra. As a prominent freelance harpist, she has performed for the Ritz-Carlton tearoom since 2000 and collaborated with artists such as Stevie Wonder, Natalie Cole, and Frank Sinatra Jr.
Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Harp Performance from Indiana University School of Music, with supplementary training at Oberlin Conservatory and the Salzedo Harp Colony.
