Catera Wilder

Catera Wilder is an Assistant Professor at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) in the Department of Bioengineering and Therapeutic Sciences, School of Pharmacy, and a Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Investigator. Combining biomedical engineering with systems biology, she investigates signaling networks in innate immunity and tissue remodeling.

• Interferon antiviral and inflammatory responses
• JAK-STAT/IRF signaling dynamics
• Protease-inhibitor network regulation
• Gene expression feedback mechanisms

Scientific Contributions: Her work on stimulus-specific interferon responses via ISGF3 transcription factors has been published in Molecular Systems Biology. Earlier studies on cathepsin regulation in cancer cells appear in The International Journal of Biochemistry & Cell Biology and Carcinogenesis, with methodological innovations in zymography techniques.
