Catarina Coelho is a Visiting Lecturer in Fine Arts 2D and Printmaking at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where she also serves as Studio Manager for Printmaking. She holds an MFA in 2D from MassArt (2013), an MA in Philosophy of Art from the University of Lisbon (2010), and a Fine Arts Licentiate from the University of Lisbon (2004). Her practice spans drawing, printmaking, painting, and writing.

Coelho’s research focuses on landscape as a testimonial site of human interaction with territory. Her work investigates how visual and material practices document ecological, cultural, and historical narratives. Recent exhibitions like The Language of Shadows (2024) and DrawLowell: Confluence (2024) highlight her exploration of drawing as an interdisciplinary medium.
Her exhibitions span mixed-media printmaking, including stone lithography, multicolor intaglio, and collagraph techniques. Key venues include the D. Luis I Foundation (Portugal), TUAG’s Grossman & Anderson Galleries (Tufts University), and the North American Print Biennial (2023). Collaborative projects such as Ulises: Assembly (2024) emphasize transcultural artistic dialogue.
