Cassandra Nelson

Dr. Cassandra Nelson is an Assistant Professor and Doctoral Coordinator in Occupational Therapy Programs at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, Dallas campus, within the College of Rehabilitative Sciences. She holds clinical specialty certifications in neurology (CNS), ergonomics (CEAS I), oncology (STAR), and pediatric bowel/bladder dysfunction.

Her research focuses on improving quality of life through client-centered interventions, particularly in:

• Pediatric bowel and bladder dysfunction
• Urinary incontinence across the lifespan
• Holistic rehabilitation approaches

Dr. Nelson teaches diverse courses including adult rehabilitation, leadership, anatomy, orthotics, and doctoral capstone projects, emphasizing the development of practitioner-scholars.
