Casper Feilberg is Associate Professor at Aalborg University's Department of Communication and Psychology, specializing in existential phenomenology applied to pedagogy, professional development, and qualitative research. He co-founded the Danish Society for Existential Phenomenology (2010) and edits publications on qualitative observation methodologies.
Research examines Problem-Based Learning (PBL) through phenomenological frameworks, focusing on Bildung theory, professional formation in higher education, and the ecology of problems in project work. Recent publications explore process orientation in PBL (2024), misunderstanding in knowledge acquisition (2025), and lived experiences of cancer survivors (2022). Awarded the Uglens kald Bogpris (2018) for contributions to phenomenological literature.
Feilberg's teaching emphasizes phenomenological approaches to understanding human experience, research design in qualitative studies, and PBL methodologies. He leads workshops on existential phenomenological observation and contributes to curriculum development in human science professions.
