Caspar van Lissa is an Associate Professor in Methodology and Statistics at Tilburg University's Tilburg School of Social and Behavioral Sciences. His research focuses on advancing theory construction in social sciences through machine learning, meta-analysis, and open science practices. He holds leadership roles in the Tilburg Young Academy and chairs the Open Science Community Tilburg. His work spans developmental psychology, statistical methodology, and reproducible research, with over 100 peer-reviewed publications.

Awards: 2021 Teacher of the Year (USocia), NWO Veni (2019) and Vidi (2024) grants. He has supervised 42 Bachelor, 32 Master, and 3 PhD students.
Labs/Teams: Co-founder of the Theory Methods Society, leads the Data-driven Insight team at Actionable Intelligence Consulting, and collaborates internationally with institutions like the Max Planck Institute and Stanford University.
