Cash Acrey

Cash Acrey serves as a Teaching Assistant Professor and Director of the MS in Finance program at the Walton College of Business, University of Arkansas, since 2015 and 2023 respectively. He holds a PhD in Finance (University of Arkansas, 2014), an MBA (2005), and a BBA from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Acrey's research focuses on Venture funding, AI, bank risk, financial crises, and ESG/SRI investment. His teaching interests include Entrepreneurial finance, Financial modeling, and Financial analysis. His recent publications analyze corporate governance in banking and regulatory frameworks for financial institutions. He also engages in industry work, co-founding a consulting firm and a fashion-week startup, while developing grants for nonprofit initiatives.

Cash Acrey contributes to academic and professional communities through roles such as Assistant Department Chair (2022+) and Managing Director of MS in Finance (2021-2023). Additionally, he serves on boards for organizations like the Arkansas Support Networks (Board Chair, 2024) and the Arkansas Arts and Fashion Forum (Board Treasurer, 2017-2019). His interdisciplinary approach bridges academic finance with practical applications in venture capital and sustainable investment.
