Casey W. Miller is a Professor and Senior Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Affairs in the College of Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). He previously directed RIT's Materials Science & Engineering program and served as Associate Director of the University of South Florida’s Applied Physics Ph.D. program, maintaining active roles in academic leadership and research administration.
His educational credentials include a BA in Physics from Wittenberg University (1999), earned summa cum laude with University and Physics Departmental Honors, and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Texas at Austin (2003), where he received the Department’s Best Dissertation Award for pioneering work combining Magnetic Resonance Imaging with Scanning Probe Microscopy. Postdoctoral research was conducted at the University of California, San Diego, focusing on quantum tunneling in magnetic films.
