Casey Ford serves as a Visiting Professor of Philosophy at Marlboro College, holding this position since 2019.
His academic credentials include a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Guelph (2016) and a BA from DePaul University (2009). Prior appointments include teaching roles at the University of Guelph, Carleton University, and Marlboro College during spring 2015.
Research centers on ontology, difference and becoming, and the history of philosophy with emphasis on 19th- and 20th-century European thought. He investigates intersections between ethical thought and ontological problems concerning the self and world as conditions for action, drawing profound influence from Gilles Deleuze's philosophy regarding difference and becoming in experience and theoretical frameworks.
Ford actively develops collaborative philosophical initiatives including The City Seminar—an annual history of philosophy seminar and pedagogy project—and the Minor Ethics Project, a research collective producing original essays inspired by Deleuze's ethical frameworks.
