Cary Federman is an Associate Professor of Justice Studies at Montclair State University’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Virginia, with prior teaching roles at the University of Virginia and Michigan State University. He has been awarded two Fulbright scholarships, teaching law and political science in Croatia and Slovenia. His research focuses on constitutional law, free speech, democratic theory, and the history of social sciences.
