Carsten Lukas

The group develops and validates MRI analysis tools and establishes MR standardization guidelines for MS diagnosis and treatment monitoring.

His research emphasizes prognostic MRI markers using advanced microstructural imaging of the brain and spinal cord, exploring brain-spinal cord pathology interactions through remote effects. Additional work involves myelin imaging via synthetic MR imaging combined with Radiomics and AI, aiming to bridge experimental neuroimaging and clinical practice.
