Carroll L. Ramos

Carroll L. Ramos is the Associate Dean and Professor in the Pharmaceutical Sciences department at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU). He holds a B.A. in Biology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, a B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Maryland, a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Maryland, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Vascular Biology at the University of Virginia.

His research focuses on the antioxidant activity of natural products, historical manuscripts in pharmacy and medicine, and the development of educational case studies. He teaches courses such as Fundamentals of Drug Action, Pathophysiology I and II, Pharmacology I, Pharmacy Case Studies, and Health Issues II.
