Carrie L. La Voy is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching at the University of Kansas School of Education. She joined full-time in 2010 after serving as an adjunct faculty member at multiple institutions, including KU, Johnson County Community College, Ottawa University, and Haskell Indian Nations University. Her expertise lies in mathematics education, focusing on pre-service teacher training and addressing challenges in mathematics learning. She holds a Ph.D., MSE, and BSE from the University of Kansas.

Research Interests: Methods of differentiating assessment and instruction, reasons for student struggles in mathematics, and improving teacher training.
