Carrie Caudill serves as Associate Professor of Psychology in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Newberry College. She holds dual professional certifications as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor.
Her academic credentials include:
- Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision, University of South Carolina (2012)
- Ed.S. in Marriage and Family Counseling, University of South Carolina (2005)
- B.A. in Psychology and Bible, Columbia International University (2003)
Dr. Caudill's research examines the intersections of psychological well-being with mindfulness practices, natural environments, and relational dynamics. She specializes in college student populations, investigating mental health challenges alongside spiritual dimensions of wellness. Her work bridges clinical psychology with community-based wellness applications through frequent conference presentations and public workshops.
Prior to Newberry College, she held an associate professorship at Columbia International University (2007-2016) following clinical work at Palmetto Health Recovery & Addictions Center (2006-2007). She maintains active community engagement through a part-time private counseling practice with Palmetto Counseling Associates, demonstrating sustained commitment to both academic and clinical psychology domains.
