Carolyn Wright

Carolyn Wright is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of World Languages and Cultures at North Carolina State University's College of Humanities and Social Sciences. She serves as Assistant Department Head for Scheduling and Campus Exchange Manager for the University of North Carolina Language Exchange (UNCLA). Her roles include Executive Committee Member of UNCLA and former leadership positions in professional organizations such as the Southern Conference on Language Teaching (SCOLT) and the Foreign Language Association of North Carolina (FLANC).

Education: Carolyn holds a B.S. (1979) and M.A. (1982) in Spanish Education from Appalachian State University, with certifications in Secondary Education (Grades 9-12) and Middle Grades Education (6-9). She is licensed in North Carolina for teaching at these levels.

Her professional focus centers on language education and teacher advocacy. She has contributed to curriculum development, teacher training, and cross-institutional collaboration through initiatives like the NC State-UNC Language Exchange.
