Carolyn Adler

Carolyn Adler is an Associate Professor at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, leading the Department of Molecular Medicine. Her lab investigates molecular mechanisms of organ regeneration using planarian flatworms as a model organism.

Techniques include RNA interference, single-cell transcriptomics, and behavioral analysis. The lab also explores radiation-induced DNA damage and ATM kinase inhibition to prevent stem cell death.

Recent publications highlight 15 articles spanning 2000-2025, covering topics from Robo pathway functions in regeneration to planarian RNAi methods. Collaborations with institutions like the Stowers Institute and University of Utah demonstrate her interdisciplinary approach.
