Caroline Surrey is a Research Fellow and Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Psychology, Technische Universität Dresden, affiliated with the Institute of General Psychology, Biopsychology, and Methods of Psychology. Her research focuses on cognitive control mechanisms, specifically how the brain dynamically adjusts to environmental demands and utilizes contextual features for adaptive behavior. She holds a PhD in Psychology (2019) and a Diploma in Psychology (2011) from TU Dresden, with additional studies in France (2009–2010).

Research Interests: Her work explores the temporal dynamics of cognitive control, contextual modulation of attention, and developmental differences in executive functions. She employs EEG and experimental paradigms to investigate neural correlates of mental set-shifting and distractor inhibition.
