Dr. Caroline Noblet is an Associate Professor in the School of Economics at the University of Maine, part of the College of Natural Sciences, Forestry and Agriculture. Her research focuses on behavioral and experimental economics, particularly in environmental policy, PFAS contamination, and sustainability science. She leads interdisciplinary projects addressing PFAS impacts on communities, health, and the environment. Noblet holds a Ph.D. in Economic Psychology (2012), M.S. in Resource Economics (2005), and B.A. in Economics and Environmental Science (1999).
Her work has been recognized through awards like the 2023 Faculty Mentor Award and the 2024 Research Collaboration Award. She advises numerous graduate students and collaborates with policymakers to translate research into actionable solutions. Noblet’s publications span topics from PFAS management to aquaculture policy, reflecting her commitment to bridging academic research with real-world challenges.
