Jun.-Prof. Dr. Caroline Lassueur is a Junior Professor of Representation Theory at the Rheinland-Pfälzische Technische Universität Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU), affiliated with the Department of Mathematics. She is part of the Research Group in Representation Theory, led by Prof. Dr. Gunter Malle, and a member of the DFG Collaborative Research Center TRR 195 'Symbolic Tools in Mathematics and their Application.' Her research focuses on modular representation theory of finite groups, including topics like endo-trivial modules, Morita equivalences, and block theory. She has organized multiple conferences such as the 'Representation Theory at the Villa Denis' series and co-organized events like the Darstellungstheorietage and Nikolaus Conferences. She has supervised doctoral student Bernhard Böhmler and has been on leave for Substitute Professorships at Leibniz Universität Hannover and RWTH Aachen University. Her teaching includes advanced courses in algebra, representation theory, and cohomology.
Education: Holds a Doctoral Thesis (EPFL) on 'Relative Projectivity and Relative Endo-Trivial Modules' and a Master's in Topology. Her work bridges algebraic structures with homotopy theory and category theory. Recent activities include talks at TU München (2025), Wuppertal (2025), and participation in international programs like the Isaac Newton Institute's 'Groups, Representations, and Applications' (2022). She is active in academic outreach, including lectures at summer schools and workshops.
