Caroline Lambert is a Professor in the Department of Accounting at HEC Montréal. She holds a Ph.D. and DEA in Accounting from Université Paris-Dauphine, along with a Master's in Management from ESCP Europe, Paris. Her research focuses on critical accounting studies, management control systems, and gender studies in organizational contexts.
Her expertise spans topics like accounting practices in end-of-life situations, gender dynamics in leadership, and performance measurement frameworks. Dr. Lambert has supervised 15 academic works over the past five years, including a PhD dissertation analyzing diversity and performance accountability, two Master's theses on investment practices in SMEs, and 11 supervised projects addressing audit practices during the pandemic era.
Teaching includes core courses on managerial accounting (COMP 10904) and performance measurement (COMP 60915), as well as advanced research seminars in management control (COMP 80921A). Her work frequently bridges theoretical frameworks with practical organizational challenges, particularly in auditing, nonprofit management, and strategic performance systems.
