Dr. Caroline Kamau-Mitchell is a Reader in Occupational Health at Birkbeck Business School, Birkbeck, University of London. Her research focuses on occupational health challenges faced by medical professionals, including the impact of illnesses and mental disorders on their return to work. She has influenced UK policy through parliamentary legislation changes and NHS practices, notably improving occupational health support in hospitals like Royal Berkshire and Barts Health NHS Trust.
