Caroline Hill

Caroline Hill is a Senior Group Leader and Head of the Laboratory of Developmental Signalling at the Francis Crick Institute (since 2015) and previously at Cancer Research UK London Research Institute (2002–2015). Her research focuses on TGF-β signaling pathways, cancer biology, and developmental mechanisms in zebrafish and Xenopus.

• Education: BA (First Class) and PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge (1981–1989).
• Positions: Royal Society University Research Fellow (1995–1998), Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research (1995–1998), and leadership roles at Cancer Research UK institutes since 1998.

Her work integrates computational modeling of signaling pathways with experimental approaches to understand oncogenesis and developmental regulation. She has coordinated European research networks and serves on editorial and governance boards.
