Caroline Hatfield is an Assistant Professor and Area Coordinator of Sculpture at the Department of Art within the College of Architecture, Art, and Design at Mississippi State University. Her creative practice merges sculpture, installation, and mixed media to interrogate themes of landscape and science fiction.
- BFA in Sculpture from The University of Tennessee
- MFA in Interdisciplinary Studio Art from Towson University
Her work has been exhibited internationally at venues including The Mint Museum (NC), The Delaware Contemporary (DE), and CICA Museum (South Korea). Recent solo exhibitions: Foresights and Futures (VisArts, MD) and Impart (Lincoln Memorial University, TN).
Research interests focus on sculptural materiality, environmental art, and landscape reinterpretation through science fiction frameworks. Her 2022-2023 publications and exhibitions reflect these themes.
