Caroline Fisher is an Associate Professor in the Department of Arts & Communication at the University of Canberra’s Faculty of Arts & Design. She is a core member of the News and Media Research Centre and co-author of the annual Digital News Report: Australia. Prior to academia, Fisher worked as a journalist, producer, and media adviser for ABC News, Radio National, and Queensland’s government. Her PhD (2014) examined transitions between journalism and political media advising roles.
