Caroline Elkins is a Professor of History and African and African American Studies at Harvard University. Her work focuses on colonial violence and post-conflict reconciliation in Africa, particularly examining the British Empire's decline and counter-insurgency operations in 20th-century Kenya, Palestine, Malaya, Cyprus, and Nyasaland.
