Caroline Dick is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Western Ontario’s Faculty of Social Science. Holding a Ph.D. from Queen’s University and an LLB from the University of Western Ontario, her work bridges law and politics with a focus on systemic racism and sexism in state institutions, particularly the judiciary. She advocates for minority and Indigenous peoples’ rights.

Selected Research Projects
Her current work examines: (1) characterizations of Indigenous protest in Alberta’s Critical Infrastructure Act; (2) legal implications of voluntary intoxication as a defense in sexual assault cases; and (3) judicial discipline transparency reforms.
