Carolin Müller

Dr. Carolin Müller is a prominent researcher and Co-head of the ZMT Academy at the Leibniz Center for Tropical Marine Research (Germany). Her work focuses on marine pollution, fish physiology, and sustainable ecosystem management.

Research Interests:

• Impact of microplastics on early life stages of fish
• Spatial connectivity in marine/estuarine fish populations
• Sustainable fisheries and marine conservation strategies

Scientific Contributions: Led projects like MicroplastiX (2020-2023) and IMErSÃO (2017-2021), examining microplastic fate and its effects on seabream. Collaborated on the AWA project (2016-2017) for West African fisheries management.
