Dr. Carole Nakhle serves as Associate Lecturer in Energy Economics within the Department of Economics at the University of Surrey's Faculty of Arts, Business and Social Sciences. She concurrently operates as founder and CEO of Crystol Energy while holding influential advisory roles including Governing Board membership at the Natural Resource Governance Institute, Advisory Board position at the Payne Institute (Colorado School of Mines), and non-Resident Scholar status at the Carnegie Middle East Centre.
Her research spans Petroleum Fiscal Regimes globally, Upstream Oil and Gas Economics, Energy Policy formulation, Natural Gas Markets analysis, and Gas Monetisation strategies. With fieldwork across 45+ countries and Arctic/North Sea exploratory visits, her work addresses petroleum contractual arrangements, revenue governance, and global market developments. She lectures at Oxford University's Blavatnik School of Government and Saint Joseph University in Beirut while advising governments, IOCs/NOCs, and international organizations.
