Carole Cerasi is a distinguished Professor of Harpsichord and Fortepiano at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the Yehudi Menuhin School. She also contributes to the Royal Academy of Music, further enhancing her influence in classical music education. Born into a Sephardic family from Istanbul, she grew up in Stockholm, Geneva, and Jerusalem, with French as her mother tongue.

Her research interests revolve around the expressive interpretation of Baroque and classical repertoire, including works by Byrd, Bach, Scarlatti, and Couperin. She actively collaborates with dance institutions like Siobhan Davies Dance Company, Rambert, and Shobana Jeyasingh Dance Companies, exploring interdisciplinary artistry.
Carole’s accolades include the 1999 Gramophone Baroque Instrumental Award, multiple Diapason d’Or awards, and runner-up positions in Gramophone competitions. Her 2018 recording of Couperin’s harpsichord works further solidified her recognition.
As a pedagogue, she mentors young musicians and serves on international jury panels, contributing to both academic and performative excellence in the field.
She engages with dance groups through curated performances, bridging musical and choreographic traditions in her work.
