Carol Bailey is a Senior Lecturer in English for Academic Purposes at the University of Wolverhampton, where she has worked since 2006. She holds an MA in Religion and Culture from the University of Birmingham (1996) and a BA in English Language and Literature from Durham University (1987). Her research focuses on academic writing practices, academic integrity, and the experiences of international students in UK higher education. She has led grants exploring plagiarism prevention and formative use of Turnitin, and serves on committees such as the Academic Integrity Working Group and Faculty Research Committee. A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy since 2014, her work emphasizes supporting non-UK students in mastering academic literacy and navigating source use in writing.
