Carol A. Derby

Carol A. Derby is a Professor in both the Saul R. Korey Department of Neurology and the Department of Epidemiology & Population Health at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She holds the Louis and Gertrude Feil Faculty Scholar in Neurology title. Her research focuses on cardiovascular risk factors' relation to Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia, hormonal changes with aging, and cardiovascular risk status during menopause transition. She leads the Einstein Aging Study Program Project.

Her expertise bridges neurology, epidemiology, and implementation science, with a focus on translational research for aging populations. Current work emphasizes longitudinal studies on cognitive decline and cardiovascular comorbidities.
