Carmine Nogara

Carmine Nogara serves as an Assistant Professor of Accounting within the Department of Accounting, Taxation, Law, and Information Sciences at Fairleigh Dickinson University. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with nearly 40 years of combined professional and academic experience, he commenced his teaching career in 1994 after extensive work in public accounting, including roles at multinational firms and as the operator of his own practice.

His educational qualifications include a Doctor of Professional Studies (DPS) from Pace University, complemented by an MBA from St. John's University and a BBA from Pace University. Dr. Nogara's professional background encompasses corporate accounting in the insurance sector and consulting for government and nonprofit organizations.

Research interests center on corporate earnings management and retention strategies for accounting majors, with additional focus on pedagogical approaches in accounting education and student persistence in intermediate accounting courses. His scholarly work addresses critical challenges in accounting education and financial reporting practices.

Outside academia, Dr. Nogara has demonstrated civic engagement through two terms of service on the Glen Rock Council as an elected official, reflecting his commitment to community leadership.
