Carmen Nastase

Carmen Nastase serves as Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Public Administration and Full Professor in the Department of Economics, Informatics and Business Administration at Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava, Romania. With over twenty years of academic experience, she holds doctoral and postdoctoral degrees alongside professional business management certifications. She also acts as Editor-in-Chief of The USV Annals of Economics and Public Administration and provides consultancy in business development and tourism.

Professor Nastase's research integrates sustainable development with practical economic applications, particularly in tourism planning through public-private partnerships and destination development. This interdisciplinary approach spans sustainable development, tourism management, and public policy implementation.

She demonstrates strong research leadership through management of ten internationally-funded projects (FP7, COST, Erasmus, Jean Monnet) and participation in 18 funded research initiatives. Her collaborative projects like the Hospitality International Summer School and EUROSCI Network foster cross-institutional partnerships with Babeş-Bolyai University, Romanian-American University, and Alexandru Ioan Cuza University.
