Dr. Carmen Logie is a Research Professor and Canada Research Chair in Global Health Equity and Social Justice for Marginalized Populations at the University of Toronto (Tier 2, renewed 2023). Her work focuses on addressing health inequities affecting marginalized communities, particularly adolescents and youth, through interventions that mitigate social stigma and socio-environmental barriers.
Research interests include the intersection of climate change with sexual health access, socio-ecological risk factors, and protective interventions against HIV/STIs. Her team has demonstrated impacts of healthcare access improvements and is now exploring climate-driven disruptions to sexual health systems.
