Carly Redding is an Associate Professor and HSDA Program Coordinator in the Department of Sociology and Human Services at the University of North Georgia (UNG). Her research focuses on human trafficking, particularly protective factors like maternal warmth and attachment in impoverished communities. She teaches courses in human services delivery, data management, and clinical psychology topics such as abnormal psychology and counseling theories.
Education includes a Ph.D. and M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, and a B.S. in Experimental Psychology from Georgia College and State University. She holds the HS-BCP certification from the Human Services Board Certified Practitioner.
Her work experience includes roles as Clinical Supervisor for Rape Counseling Services of Fresno, Assistant Director of Golden State Psychological Health Center, and Director of The Village adolescent day program. She emphasizes global competency through study abroad programs, measuring outcomes via demographic assessments and qualitative reflections.
