Carly Kibbe

Carly Kibbe serves as an Associate Professor in the Human Biology program at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, teaching core courses including Principles of Biology, Cell Biology, Reproductive Biology, Endocrinology, and First-Year Seminar.

Dr. Kibbe's research investigates genetic mechanisms regulating pancreatic beta-cell mass in obesity and diabetes, spanning molecular endocrinology, metabolic disease pathology, and cellular adaptation processes. Her work bridges fundamental cell biology with clinical diabetes applications, emphasizing genetic susceptibility factors in metabolic dysregulation.

Outside academia, she actively participates in Wisconsin outdoor culture through trail running with her dogs, while maintaining strong local ties via live music events, cooking, and support for Badgers, Packers, and Brewers sports teams.
