Carlotta Hübener is a Researcher at the Institute of German Studies, University of Leipzig. Her academic career includes roles as a research assistant at multiple institutions, including the University of Duisburg-Essen and University of Bamberg. She holds a Master's in German Linguistics (2017) and a Bachelor's in German Language/Literature and Mathematics (2013) from the University of Hamburg. She conducted a semester abroad at Radboud University Nijmegen (2017).
Her research focuses on morphology, corpus linguistics, and language change, particularly studying morphologization processes and grammatical variation in Germanic languages. Her recent work examines noun-participle combinations and determiner inflection patterns through diachronic corpus analysis. She has also explored cognitive aspects of spelling in Middle Low German.
Her publications span prestigious journals like Contributions to the History of German Language and Literature and Morphology. She received a doctoral scholarship from the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (2021-2022). Her research integrates computational methods with traditional linguistic inquiry, contributing to both theoretical and applied linguistics.
