Carlos Zapata

Carlos Zapata is an Adjunct Instructor and Undergraduate Academic Advisor (Last Names A-G) at the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, Indiana University Indianapolis. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Education from Indiana University, Bloomington, focusing on Elementary Education, Special Education, and Adult Education.

With 5 years of elementary/special education teaching experience, he transitioned to higher education in 2008, initially at Indiana University Kokomo as an Academic Advisor. At IU Indianapolis since 2014, he has served as Team Coordinator of the Arts, Humanities, and Human Services Cluster and a Student Success Advisor in University College. His role emphasizes supporting students' academic growth across disciplines within the Luddy School.
