Carlos Untiedt Lecuona

Carlos Untiedt Lecuona is a Full Professor of Condensed Matter Physics at the University of Alicante, where he leads the Nanophysics Group and the Low-Temperature Nanoscale Systems Laboratory. He obtained his PhD in Physics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (1999) and spent 3 years at Leiden University's Kamerlingh Onnes Laboratory (Netherlands). Since 2003, he has been a faculty member at the University of Alicante, serving as Head of the Department of Applied Physics from 2014 to 2020.

His research focuses on electronic transport in nanostructures, with landmark publications in high-impact journals like Nature and Physical Review Letters. He also coordinates the inter-university Master's and Doctoral Programs in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.
