Carlos Ruiz Canovas

Carlos Ruiz Canovas is a University Professor affiliated with the Department of Earth Sciences at the Faculty of Experimental Sciences, University of Huelva. He is associated with the Center for Research in Natural Resources, Health, and the Environment and was part of the RNM198 THARSIS research group.

• Education: Doctorate in Earth Sciences (University of Huelva, 2008) with the thesis The water quality of the Tinto and Odiel rivers: Temporal evaluation and conditioning factors of the mobility of metals, supervised by Dr. Manuel Olías Álvarez and Dr. José Miguel Nieto Liñán.

His research focuses on Environmental Geomorphology and Water Resources, particularly examining metal mobility in river systems and geodynamic processes. He has contributed to multidisciplinary studies integrating natural resources and environmental health.
