Carlos P. Cardenas

Carlos P. Cardenas, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in pulmonary medicine, he joined the faculty in 2021 after completing residency and fellowship training at the same institution. His clinical focus includes chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and general pulmonary medicine.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Southwestern University in Georgetown
• Medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio

Dr. Cardenas has delivered numerous presentations related to his specialties and collaborates closely with his wife, Maeghan, who is also a UT Southwestern faculty member.
