Shannon Murray

Shannon Murray, M.D., serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and is affiliated with the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Her clinical expertise spans chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung cancer screening, and asthma management.

Dr. Murray's educational background includes:

• Bachelor's degree with honors in Biology from the University of Kansas
• Medical degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio
• Internal Medicine Residency at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta
• Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at UT Southwestern

Her research focuses on respiratory disease management, emphasizing COPD progression, lung cancer early detection protocols, and personalized asthma treatment strategies. She is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine.
