Dr. Carlos Oyarzun is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Economics, University of Queensland, within the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law. He holds a PhD from Texas A&M University. His research focuses on experimental economics, game theory, and learning models applied to decision-making under uncertainty. Key areas include asset market regulation, information disclosure strategies, imitation dynamics, and risk aversion mechanisms.
Notable research includes analyzing regulatory policies in experimental asset markets and investigating contagion management through information strategies. He has published extensively in top journals such as Journal of Economic Theory and Economic Theory. His work bridges theoretical models with empirical evidence, particularly in strategic behavior and market design.
Dr. Oyarzun is available for academic supervision and maintains an affiliation with the Centre for Behavioural and Economic Science.
