Carlos Mastalli

Carlos Mastalli is an Assistant Professor at Heriot-Watt University (UK) and a Research Scientist at the Florida Institute for Human & Machine Cognition (USA). He leads the Robot Motor Intelligence (RoMI) Lab, focusing on legged robotics, optimal control, and numerical optimization. His work has been conducted in collaboration with leading institutions including IIT (Italy), LAAS-CNRS (France), ETH Zürich (Switzerland), and the University of Edinburgh (UK). He is a core developer of the Crocoddyl optimal control library, fostering open science and community-driven research.
