Carlos Elguero

Dr. Carlos Elguero is an Assistant Professor of Family and Community Medicine at Albany Medical College, serving as Clinical Vice Chair and Assistant Residency Director. He directs the Geriatrics program within the Family Medicine Residency and oversees operations and quality improvement at the residency practice. He is board-certified in Family Medicine (2018) and actively participates in committees such as the Quality and Electronic Health Records Committee.

His research and clinical focus includes urban healthcare delivery, geriatric care, and quality improvement initiatives. He has contributed to global health through medical relief work in Uganda and leadership at the Engeye Health Clinic. Dr. Elguero advocates for medical education, evidenced by awards in teaching and mentorship.

He maintains clinical practice at Albany Medical Center and Community Care Physicians, emphasizing service to diverse and underserved populations.
