Carlos Aydillo Miguel

Carlos Aydillo Miguel is a part-time academic at the University of Navarra, affiliated with the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition and the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He is associated with the Cancer Center Clínica Universidad de Navarra (CCUN) and leads the SECALE research group, focusing on selenium derivatives for cancer, trypanosomes, and other pathologies.

His research interests include:

• Organic synthesis of N,O-acetals
• Medicinal chemistry of selenium compounds
• Cancer-targeted therapies
• Trypanosomiasis drug development

He earned his doctorate from the Universidad de La Rioja in 2011 under the supervision of Dr. María del Mar Zurbano Asensio and Dr. Alberto Avenoza Aznar.
