Carlos A. Guzmán

Prof. Dr. Carlos A. Guzmán is a leading figure in vaccinology and applied microbiology, serving as Head of the Department of Vaccinology and Applied Microbiology at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI) and holding an APL professorship at Hannover Medical School. With over 260 publications and numerous patents, his research spans mucosal immunology, adjuvant development, and vaccine delivery systems, particularly focusing on Salmonella vectors and RNA-based vaccines.
