Carleen Ellis

Carleen Ellis is a Research Fellow at the UWA Medical School, Department of Surgery, affiliated with The University of Western Australia. Her roles have included Administrative Manager/School Manager in the School of Surgery, Education Officer in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, and Acting Planning Manager. She holds a BCom from UNSW, GradDipEd (Higher and Further Education) from Curtin University, and an MEd from Edith Cowan University.

Her research focuses on advancing academic surgery through strategies like surgical simulation pedagogies, mentoring women in surgery, and improving compliance with surgical guidelines. Her work intersects with UN SDGs related to health and education systems.
